Terms of Use
Effective: 8 September 2026 · Website and Pet Patrol HQ mobile apps
1. Agreement
These Terms govern petpatrolhq.com and the Pet Patrol HQ apps. By creating an account or using a guest feature (rescue report, QR scan, directory), you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you use the platform for a clinic, NGO, salon, or shelter, you also confirm you may bind that organisation.
2. What Pet Patrol HQ is — and is not
We are a marketplace and coordination layer: we connect pet parents with vets, NGOs, groomers, pet-care providers, and shelters, and we route injured-animal reports and QR-tag scans.
We are not a veterinary hospital, ambulance operator, insurer, or the employer of independent vets/NGOs. Clinical advice, rescue on the ground, grooming quality, and boarding conditions are the provider’s responsibility. AI symptom or breed tools are optional information only and never replace a licensed veterinarian.
3. Eligibility
You must be 18+. Provide true details. We may suspend accounts that are fake, abusive, or unsafe for animals or people.
4. Features you may use
- Pet profiles, diary, vaccinations, health records.
- Book vet visits, grooming, walking, sitting, boarding, daycare.
- Report an injured or at-risk animal; track status; nearby responders may receive an offer.
- Lost & found reports and sightings.
- QR collar tags: public scan page, owner alert, optional map of the scan.
- Adoptions, shelter animals, fosters (where listed).
- NGO events and community; social feed and playdates on the web.
- Directories of verified organisations.
- Push and in-app alerts for the events above.
5. Bookings and money
A booking is an agreement between you and the provider. Prices, cancellation, and refunds are set by that provider unless a product is sold directly by us (for example a physical QR tag order). See Refunds. Completing a visit may mark a booking as paid in our records — that is operational status, not a guarantee of a specific payment gateway result.
6. Rescue, lost pets, and QR scans
Reports and sightings must be truthful. False “lost pet” or rescue posts may be removed and reported. Scanning someone’s tag notifies the owner; do not harass them. We do not guarantee a pet will be found or that a responder will accept a case. Location is only as accurate as the device that shared it.
7. Community content
You keep rights to photos and text you upload. You grant us a licence to host and display them to operate the service. Follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content and ban accounts that harm animals, people, or the platform.
8. Providers
Listings may stay hidden until an admin verifies you. You must have any licences required in your city. You must not use the dashboard to spam owners. Earnings screens are summaries of completed bookings, not tax advice.
9. Acceptable use
- No violence, animal cruelty, scams, or sale of banned wildlife.
- No scraping, attacking, or bypassing login.
- No uploading malware or others’ private data.
10. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as available. We are not liable for a provider’s treatment, a failed rescue, a delayed notification, or a phone that blocked push alerts. To the extent Indian law allows, our total liability for a claim is limited to fees you paid us in the previous 12 months, or ₹100 if you paid us nothing. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example proven fraud by us).
11. Closing your account
Pet parents, doctors, vets, NGOs, groomers, pet-care providers, shelters, and pet-place accounts may delete their account in the website or app. Deletion is permanent. We unlist any public organisation profile tied to that login. Admin accounts cannot be self-deleted. See Delete account & data.
12. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction, after an informal attempt to resolve the issue via Contact.
